The Role Model Hermit

The Role Model Hermit is an interesting profile. They are here to demonstrate to mankind how to live an authentic life independent of outside authority. They are fundamentally optimistic. They tend to be naturally gifted and not very concerned with details. They are concerned with the big picture and hold a detached view point.

The 6th line represents the conscious Personality. It’s about the mind and the lens through which thought is processed.  The 2nd line represents the unconscious Design, the body, and the physical experience of being human.

The 6th line is known as the Role Model, however, they will not come into this role right away. All 6th lines have a triphasic life. This means that they have three distinct stages in life. In stage 1 they are the 3rd line. So the 6/2 is essentially a 3/2 until the age of 30 years old or their Saturn return. The 3rd line is unconsciously driven to experiment. The 3rd line has a trial and error learning process. Nonetheless, it is important to realize that almost all of our most amazing inventions in the world were discovered through, as Bob Ross put it, happy accidents. During this period life is all about understanding the unknown. In stage 2, ages 30 to 50, the Role Model climbs up on the roof to integrate all the experience they have had. They observe. In stage 3, around the Chiron return, there is the potential for more balance and maturity and the full expression of line 6, the Role Model. If the 6/2 follows their strategy and authority they can blossom into an individual that can become a highly impactful leader. They can become a true Role Model! As with all profiles, it is important to pay close attention to one’s Strategy and Inner Authority to know what is aligned for them and what is not. A peaceful life for the 6/2 is when they have no agendas or any need to prove themselves. It’s important that the 6/2 remain objective and above the fray. Their advice carries a lot of weight and an aligned and balanced 6/2 has a tremendous amount of influence and this should not be taken lightly. A healthy 6th line desires the best for everyone, including themselves. Ultimately this profile is here to show us all how to live according to our own inner wisdom.

Unlike line 1, line 2s don’t like to study. Nonetheless, studying is good for them and should be encouraged and supported. It will be a great asset to them later in life. They are naturals at what they do so they may not see studying as important. They have a built-in barrier, so to speak, that prevents outside interference or influence, unlike line 1. Sometimes, however, they can get in their way by not responding to the correct call that comes their way because they don’t like being called out. Strategy and Authority are very important here. Line 2 would be very happy to stay in its Hermit cave and never come out but it’s crucial that it pays attention and answers the right call. While not all calls are correct for them some are and this profile can make it easy to avoid many of them.

Relationships for the 6/2 have a trial and error process in the first 30 years. Typically, meeting a mate or having solidity in relationships occurs as they enter the retreat, on the roof phase, of life. However, in relationships the 6/2 will need time to feel intimately connected to another. They cannot be intimate with someone they do not trust. Incorrect relationships for the 6/2 can deplete their energy and make them feel disappointed, confused, fatigued, and disillusioned. 

PARENTS OF OPPORTUNIST ROLE MODELS

These children need to be afforded the time to discover their true nature. Please don’t shame them when they make mistakes. They are here to experiment. They can feel insecure about their gifts and their drive for perfection can cause them to be very critical of themselves. Encourage them to experiment, safely of course, and help them to gather the data and make sense of it when their experiments do not go as planned.
